The amount of guns in the hands of regular citizens in the US FAR exceeds that of citizens in the UK per capita. Yes, there are gangs and ********* groups active in the UK and some disgruntled citizens with guns for sure but don't even try to compare gun crime in the UK to the US. It's not even close.
Additionally, there is very little responsible gun ownership in the US. Switzerland also has the right to bear arms and many households are packing but they have very few gun crimes. Why is that? The Swiss treat firearms with respect and have a rigid system in place to ensure people use guns probably and don't abuse the right they have. Most of the gun owners in the US think it's still the 1800's and they are all sheriffs who must protect their town.

Listen, i live in Peckham, where people have guns shoved in their face every day, and knife crime is far more prevalent than in the USA. I live here, where people drive their bikes on pavements daily and stick knives guns or acid in your face and mug you. There are plenty of home invasions too. Barely 4 percent of crime is solved, and almost zero percent gang crime is even reported here. The only difference here is nobody has a gun to defend their home with. In other words, only the bad guys have guns. Dont get mixed up with what the news report (like famous footballers getting robbed) and what's really happening. There were never the amount of guns in the UK as in the US, and the law is useless at disarming them. So how do you think the law enforcement in the US is going to get all those guns out of the hands of crooks over there. Like i say, i live here. Its extremely violent, and anyone who dont believe can come take an evening walk on my estate and see how far they get.
