    Hatton/Baldo on Dec ???

"He never hurt me at all," Baldomir, 43-9-6 (13KOs), said afterwards. "I said before the fight that I wouldn't feel like a real world champion until I proved that (the Judah win) wasn't a (fluke) and I did that. Now I want (Floyd) Mayweather and (Ricky) Hatton
    Hatton back on December 9
No announcement has been made by promoters Fight Academy whether Hatton, who has won three 'big ' world titles in his last three fights, will be defending his WBA welterweight title or consensus/linear junior welterweight title.

If it is the former, though, German WBA No.1 Oktay Urkal will have to be accommodated if Hatton is not to relinquish a third title belt this year.

However, there are other avenues, with the winner of this weekend's Gatti v Baldomir fight a very enticing prospect.

Hatton fought only twice in 2005 and now will fight twice in 2006.

I have taken these excerpts from two different articles from another website, and looks like a Hatton vs Baldy is more probable to happen on December.

billy graham stated last night when he was a pundit for the uk broadcast that the gatti fight had already been offered to him obviously only if he won. but now it seems the right thing to do in chasing baldy

it would be good for both fighters....it'll look good for hatton if he fights baldy instead of urkal!...and at the same time it will be a well deserved payday for baldy....and it also would be a good fight!...not sure how it would pan out though...i probably believe hatton would be too scared to fight baldy due to his size......baldy is one confident mofo!...

i dont think hed be scared to fight baldi
if hatton can get back to basics he doesnt have to always go on the inside to fight him cause by the looks of things a ko aint on the agenda with this guy so hes gonna have to outbox him and gatti was doing that with rellative ease at points in the fight , baldy looked like mayorga at points in the fight , just swinging the the sake of swinging and i thought iafter the 7th round that he gassed out and gatti would cruise to a ud

May it be Hatton or PBF it's sure gonna be good for Baldomir but I'd prefer if it's going to be Hatton first. A test of fire for both fighters.

Baldo has shown the ability to rise up to the challenge but I do believe that his skills is still not enough to overcome PBF. But irregardless, win or lose his stock will surely rise against PBF as long as he doesn't get dominated like what happened to Gatti.

And you know what I have noticed folks?

He mentioned PBF and Hatton but not Margarito.

Margarito wasn't mentioned because he has the WBO and is a virtual unknown. Baldomir wants the big names or belts, and Margarito brings neither. Floyd would be a good fight for him because Hatton is wrapped up in Urkal. Hatton would lose a lot of face if he did everything to keep the WBA belt and turning down Mayweather, only to dump the belt if Baldomir comes knocking. I think Carlos takes Floyd in November.
