Canelo is at MW simple because he cant make jr MW and WW anymore.
At only 5'8' - it says a lot about his body type.

DLH is around 5'10, 5'11 and drained himself to get a title at 130lbs.
Tito Trinidad is same height as DLH but he can only manage to get as low as 147lbs despite looking to have a thin frame.
Meanwhile, the 6'1' Hopkins managed to stay forever at 160lbs through discipline.

But Golovkin is still the bigger man. Canelo so small. He's not even a MW.
      Canelo small. Golovkin bully.

Canelo is one of those guys who is big, but not tall. He could fight and do well at SMW, but we have yet to see him at LHW, so pump the brakes on that sentence.

James Toney started his pro career at 160 and ended up at 250. He's only 5'10.

How is GGG bigger? Canelo has literally outweighed him in 2 fights now.
At the same age range, Canelo was bigger.
How can GGG be the bigger man? That makes no sense. GGG is only slightly taller, with a shorter reach.
Sugar Ray is bigger than Wladimir Klitschko. In 1977 he outweighed Wlad by more than 100 pounds.

And he’s never fought at 175. So no, he’s not currently fighting at 175. He’s not currently fighting at all lmao

this is BS.. at 25 canelo was fighting as a jmw, at that very same age ggg was at mw... ggg never went to 154 for canelo or cotto or floyd cuz he simply was too big to do that...

Canelo is a good fighter but as of now he has never fought at 175 and only fought weak Fielding at 168. Fighting at 175 does not impress me. Beating the best light heavyweights would be impressive but losing to them not so much. I doubt Kovalev is the best of the light heavyweight champs but a win over Kovalev would be impressive. He has no such win yet so I give him no credit for it until he does it. Some boxers like Canelo outgrow the weight class they are in and have no choice but to move up in weight. Canelo cannot make 147 or 154 comfortably anymore and even 160 may be hard for him. As for him only being 5'8" boxing has weight classes not height classes. Some boxers have a heavy build and some boxers are slimmer. I am no more or less impressed by a thin boxer than a heavy set boxer. They are equally good. A 6 foot 3 inch light heavyweight is no better or worse than a 5 foot 8 inch light heavyweight depending on who is the better fighter. There have been light heavyweight champions as short as 5 foot 6 inches.
