Really sickening when so-called 'fans' bash a boxer who quits on his stool from injury. Or worse yet, keeps fighting and winds up permanently injured, or dies. And it never ends with those ignorant slobs complaining and bashing. If I ran a boxing site, those jurrrrks would be permanently banned after the first comment like that. No excuse for it. None.

Keep at it little boy. Keep proving you have zero class, zero empathy, zero intelligence. Mindless little zero boy.

Farmer nailed it!, Good perspective from Ramirez too. Unfortunately those messages won't make a difference as farmer said. Most of those who need to see it aren't fans of the sport & only tune in to watch big fights, so they won't be paying attention to this article. Also the first comment on this thread is evidence of that ignorance

Boxing had the most toxic fans of any sport I have kept up with in my 5+ decades of life. Gone are the days when it had a true dedicated fan base who actually knew what they were watching and had a grasp of the history of the sport. Most of these “fans” we see opining online are special interest “fans” who only tune in because their ethnicity or nationality or race is fighting, or because their favourite promoter (who is the reason they even know about boxing) is fighting, or because they want to see rockem sockem
robots. What makes it so bad is they take that simpleton mindset and they combine it with immaturity, ignorance, boorish jail house behaviour, and the social media mindset and you just get the most toxic types. This is why I’ve simply blocked so many people on this website. I just won’t put up with the anti-social behaviour of numpties.

This dude putting boxers on pedestal like they are special. Stfu Ramirez you punch people for a living and they can suffer the same fate at any time too so if he is so concerned for people’s health, stop fighting. Trying to sound all high and mighty and sht, get over yourself.

Fighters fight for themselves and nobody is forcing them.
Farmer was talking about ignorance and one of the most ignorant posters on the entire website is first to reply with an extremely ignorant comment. About time he was banned.

Edit: The poster below is also on my ignore list I don't give a **** about arguments FinitoxDinamita did not present an argument in a civilized way he's just likes to act like an *******. Anyone else who wants to defend him goes on the ignore list as well.

If a boxing fight is boring or a boxer is fighting scared or trying to cruise to a decision, I’m gonna say that. I’m paying my money to see a good fight. If it’s not a good fight, I’m gonna say so. I have that right. I hate when boxers use this as an excuse to justify all the whack **** that happens on boxing.

Exactly right. No disrespect to Ramirez or Farmer but most of the so called greatest fights that I have attended or watched involved guys getting beat up. It's the nature of the game. We hope that they all recover and obviously survive but boxing is a brutal business. Blaming the fans after a sports tragedy is misguided!
