Eddie is trying to hide behind their backwards process. He knows Whyte failed the test and they had a loop hole that would allow him to keep his event going. Waiting 48 hours for Whyte doesn't make sense he is just going to make an excuse.

And look, other promoters are pretty much the same way. Their fighter fails a drug test? No problem, they will be back on a show six months later...However, he tried to say it would be disgusting if TR put Miller against Fury...When he let Whyte go on and fight Rivas without notifying their team. Forget the fact he has a bunch of PED cheats on his stable (no different than other promoters), but how are YOU not going to notify team Rivas and let them know what is going on? And then let THEM decide if they want to go on with the fight or not?

Or what levels they are dealing with and what constitutes an adverse finding. And what is the difference between the threshold between the two agencies in question, VADA and UKAD. But even then that question is not important given that UKAD knowing and doing what they did, allowed a cheater to fight illegally. Otherwise, what's the effing point UKAD????

You Americans don't understand the word 'confidentiality' do you?

The test, the hearing, etc is all meant to be private. UKAD/BBBoC will only release a statement, or block a fight if a fighter is guilty. To determine their guilt 2 samples must be tested (1 in case of appeal).

What if Whyte was cleared to use the substance which produced trace elements of PEDs by UKAD as treatment for something?

What if he had 3 tests.

              16th - VADA TEST (NEGATIVE)
              17th - UKAD TEST (SAMPLE A POSITIVE)
              18th - VADA TEST (NEGATIVE)

In that case he's going to ask for a B sample and argue that VADA didn't pick up on it so maybe the UKAD sample is contaminated.

If it turns out now that Whyte is innocent then it doesn't matter, the damage is already done.

He's smooth esp. with a lackey interviewer who he kept reminding, "this is your big chance."

Whyte speaks tmow. Hearn uses the "I don't know ANY MORE" excuse.

Several times he said "1 million per cent true." This only shows his false state of mind and hyperbole since you can't have more than 100% of a thing by definition.

Hearing him say that a couple of times reminded me of OJ pleading in court to charges of viciously slaying 2 people including the mother of his children: "Absolutely 100% not guilty" when he could have just said "not guilty."

Fast Eddie's: I wasn't there, I don't know etc and anything more ask Whyte or the agencies.

Confidentiality in notifying the affected parties.... that is corruption. It is a bad look that UKAD did not notify the authority on this fight, the WBC and Rvias. Regardless of the difference between VADA and UKAD.You cannot have dopers go unchecked then allowed to go thru with the fight.

It defeats the whole point of testing in the first place.

It’s typical Hearn, he’s morally correct when it suits him.

It’s absolutely disgusting that Hearn, UKAD, the BBBofC and whoever else was involved allowed a fight to go forward full well KNOWING a fighter had tested positive for PED’s therefore had an unfair advantage. Had they not been caught out yesterday I doubt this would have ever been made public tbh, which is abhorrent.

Thank god Rivas never suffered any serious damage or this would be a whole different sort of investigation.

As a British boxing fan I’m beyond ashamed this has happened on our shores.
