Good point on the secrecy over there but, I havent seen any major US reporter even re-tweet or comment on the story in the last few hours. Im sure they want their own corroboration and not calling BS on this story, but something smells here. Whether the reporting is accurate or Matchroom/Eddie/BBBC let the fight go on KNOWING he tested positive and didnt tell Rivas... smh gotta wait for the dust to settle but this could be ugly

Well, according to Hearn, both VADA and UKAD cleared Whyte for the fight. So something is definitely up. But more importantly, how does one not notify Team Rivas of the situation and what is going on?

Further to reports I can confirm that both Dillian Whyte and Oscar Rivas were subject to extensive VADA and UKAD testing for their bout. Both fighters were cleared to fight by both bodies and the BBBofC

First off, good article. Explains the process for sampling, reprocussions to Whyte, mishandling by the BBBoC, and shows how useless the WBC can be when it comes to all matters of banned substances. How can we let these organizations keep allowing fights to go on with PEDs being used before matches? We just had a boxer get killed last weekend. What will happen when this happens after a fighter is not clean? Will they try him/her as a criminal? It is only a matter of time.

Being cleared doesn’t mean he didn’t fail a test if his test came back clean Hearn would of started that in tweet but didn’t tried to word it carefully

I was personally told by Margaret Goodman that when someone fails a test under VADA, they themselves notify both camps as well as the WBC/WBA/etc. I mean it is possible UKAD has different rules, but VADA was involved in this fight as well. So because Whyte failed a UKAD administered test, was VADA unable to follow their protocols here? Could they not have notified Rivas' camp themselves? Did VADA even know about the failed test?

And I want to know who leaked this out to Hauser. This isn't like he would go searching for this story since the fight took place in the UK. I've always wondered if Hauser has some VADA sources that leak stuff to him.

That is a specific way of wording it, but as of now I'm going to wait until I find out what the banned substance was, because being cleared to fight also sounds odd, I'd.the test came out he was loaded with testosterone I have to hope they would cancel it, It could be that the test came back with trace amounts of weed in his system etc - just waiting for more Info. But if it it is as bad as it looks now - ban, end of
