Getting hit in the head is the problem not how much cushion you have. In fact the science seems to say your brain gets shaken more with a thing on your head that makes you an easier target to hit.

I'm fast forwarding 30-50 years & I predict everyone will be boxing in VR worlds & only a fighters avatar will be harmed.
