"Mayweather retired back in August of 2017, when he stopped UFC superstar Conor McGregor..."
If the entire boxing industry wasn't coddling the little narcissistic clown, #49 would've been his career.... on 9/12/15. The 8/17 event was an exhibition, and nothing more. Should never have counted as a regular pro boxing fight.
As for the here and now? "This man's entire legacy and career has been built off its association with my name"
What a joke. Manny would STILL be bringing 'em in to see his fights in big #s... Floydie or no Floydie. The ego welded into this guy's swollen head is way outta control.
Here's a solution, Floydie.... FIGHT MANNY AGAIN. Oh wait, forgot... you're scared since you're ancient, Pac's still winning, and he isn't injured.
Geez, never have heard so much whining from one little spoiled brat in the sport... except maybe Bonehedd Broner.Comment

landotter and Twosweethook....give May some credit. Most boxing fan gave Pacman a good ko chance and even Mike Tyson. The media branded Pacman as best man welterweight not digging into PED records as FmJr demand thorough tests for both.......May jr beat Pac easy......and he's older....no rematch is needed as fight wasn't close. Let's celebrate a living boxing legend today not posthumously.
And posthumously? Do you think Mayweather doesn't get love right now from the vast majority of boxing writers and fans?
Welcome to the forum, by the way.Comment

You know it's true. He should have tried to beat the hec out of Pacquiao. He didn't. In front the largest audience in the history of the sport he stunk the joint out. He blew it. Round 11 and 12 should have been closing the show rounds. It didn't happen. That's fact. The world saw this and was p*ss*d off. This doesn't mean he didn't have a great career, It means he let go of a great opportunity when the sport needed it the most. We all saw that. The Greatest always closed the show in the big ones. Not Floyd that one night. And that wasn't just any night or any fight.Comment

I'm pretty sure Floyd won't fight Pac for 1 belt. He'll make Pac fight Spence/Porter winner in Jan 2020 to get 3 belts. He'll fight Manny on May 2020 for 3 belts.Comment

You mean T.B.D.E. ..... the best ducker ever. Geez, you boxing casuals don't even know boxing history. Armstrong and Robinson come to mind instantly... back during MUCH tougher times as far as competition, schedules etc. I'd say go look at who those 2 fought, but you'd likely know NONE of them.Comment

Thanx. Now, try convincing a Floydieaholic. Good luck.Comment

It's not fair to the fans. Especially those nut huggers who really really like Floyd. I wanted to see him again too as a fan of the sport. I give credit where it's due especially when you consider he won every second of every round against Marquez, Gatti, Canelo or Corrales. I don't get this nonsense where if you give honest criticism you hate Floyd or you hate African Americans. Reminds me of that nut case Minnesota congressman. My heroes were Muhammad Ali and Marvin Hagler when I was growing up and that had nothing to do with the amount of Melanin in their skin. Maybe I'm not pasty white did you ever consider that?. Ironically the first ones who shout racism in most instances are usually exposed as the biggest racists of allComment
