No offense to Matias, but he Jarret Hurd'd him, that's all. Think the Jarret Hurd vs Tony Harrison fight or something, except Dadashev even showed elite stamina unlike Harrison, the size difference just seemed even bigger, and Matias was like a terminator, he threw almost well over 1200 punches in just 11 rounds, including (edit: nearly 900, 881 to be exact) 900 power punches, stalking Dadashev for every second of every round, Dadashev is a clean fighter coming from the Russian amateur system so he didnt know to hold to get some rests, it was literally 33 minutes straight of Dadashev basically having to run backwards to get away, fire off beautiful counters that just bounced off the weight bully terminator in front of him, dodge 85+ punches per round which also takes energy, get hit hit with the other 20 or so (Dadashev displayed excellent defense all fight, but eventually the fatigue catches up to you), and eventually he succumbed. It reminded me of the Lebedev fight vs Guillermo Jones, and we all know what the tests came back with after the fight. Matias hasn't tested positive for anything, so I'm not accusing him of using PEDs, I'm just saying it reminded me of that fight and there were some su****ious aspects to the fight. Often extreme weight cutting and rehydration and PEDs go together. But we'll probably never know in this case. The day before weigh ins increase the potential for abuse and danger in the ring, even without PEDs, but especially with them.
Is there any information or reports of troubles to make weight on Dadashevs part?

        • Fights like this makes sense to what Eddie Futch did in the 3rd Fraizer/Ali fight. 3 More minutes could do more harm than good. I know that no one will agree with me, but I'm a fan of both Spence and Mikey Garcia. I'm watching the fight scared that Garcia was gonna get hurt and I wanted the fight stopped after the 9th or 10th because I didn't want to see him take 2 or 3 more rounds of punishment just to prove he can go the distance. I wasn't watching the fight Friday and just looked at the last round today, but this is something that none of us should want to see done to anyone. There are a few fighters that I don't like at all. GGG is one of them, but I'd NEVER want to see GGG leave that ring with brain damage or die due to what transpired in the ropes. It's a dangerous game and I'm thinking that maybe he went into the fight with problems already. Sad situation no matter how you look at it.

The easiest thing in the world is to second guess. I watched the fight and Max was losing but was always answering with shots. When should the fight have been stopped? Is it a tragedy? Of course but the guy was undefeated and deserved the opportunity to fight on. No one has any idea when the injury occured! Buddy Mcgirt is a good dude and a good trainer. Now is not the time to criticize!

They should get that started today.

                RIP Warrior.
I would like to know this as well.

Umm he probably would have died anyway, you know?
