Hard to read this, and see the picture of his family. People laugh at Bellew for repeating all that matters is getting home to the wife and kids, but this guy never made it back to them.

Very true.
I think sometimes we forget that these fighters are actually real people with real families, most who have found a way to try and make a better life for themselves through boxing.
We get so caught up in the hype, rivalries, show business side of things and forget that it’s actually an incredibly dangerous thing these guys are doing.Comment

This one hit me hard. Maybe it’s cause I’m almost the exact same age as Maxim but after reading about his dream for a better life for his family, then watching Mcgirt have to beg him to stop fight. **** man I haven’t shed a tear in a very long time but this made me do it. RIP to a real man.Comment
