But when facing a legend like Manny, Keith was not only facing the icon, but the mystique as well. To get a draw he would of had to win 10 rounds. I don’t have a problem with the results, but the commentators were biased and did a poor job. By no means did Manny outclass Keith. Keith did a great job. If it was any other opponent, with that performance, the outcome could have been in his favor. It was a great fight at an elite level. But at this point, I don’t see either beating Spence or Crawford. I think Manny will end up fighting Mikey or Danny next. I see Keith fighting either AB or Ugas.
Keefe did a heck of a job. He was doing everything to defeat a lefty especially with a straight right. After being knocked down in the beginning and getting hurt by that body shot he just kept fighting like a champion. He could have easily taken the Floyd route with jab and grab or run around but he stood his ground and exchanged. This was a great fight. The kind that Pacquiao likes because he says it makes people happy.

After the 1st round I knew ( and I’m sure Keith knew) that Thurman made a major mistake by no opting for VADA testing. PAC could’ve fought another 12 rounds

I’m hearing they did no VADA testing for this fight...is that true?!?...Not insinuating anything but I thought the testing was mandatory for these days

WOW. The bs Pac haters come up with. There was VADA testing. I was at the fight and Pac was tired. He paced himself in the mid rounds. So he could be ready for the championship rounds. He knew the 1st rd KD was his ace card. To say he could've went another 12 rds is also bs. Pac and One Time put on a great show for the sport. They were both tired and both passed their VADA testing. Y'all let one dude brainwash y'all with a rumor because he didn't wanna run a fade with Pac 6 years prior to their fight.

I think were seeing the same thing. The fight was very very close, VERY! I picked Manny by UD before the fight. It could have gone either way the body shot in the 10th was big! What made this fight special was not that Pac won, its that Keith fought Great!!! He was supper sharp with his punches, unlike many of his other fights. he dint run the last half of the fight was economical early on allowing him to fight strong the down the stretch. Never looked beat in the corner between rds. Pac's footwork created angles and he targeted the body. The fight played out the way in many ways exactly the way I expected. Pac being faster and elusive but Thurman was better than I expected he would be. I expected him to run after the 6th but he dint that's when he got going! One of the better fights I've seen in a while! Manny was in amazing shape, vintage performance. Great fight all around and amazing performances by both fighters. Keith should fight a top five guy. Not so sure they can make Thurman/Crawford, if so, expect other fights to get made. Don/t see it. A rematch vs Pac Porter or Garcia would do very well at the moment not so sure he needs Crawford. Crawford needs him, someone to go to the prom with but so far looks pretty ugly. 154 JM is always there and PBC got that locked up too.

I wanted Pacquiao to beat Thurman up so bad on fight night because of all the trash talk lol. I'm glad Pacquiao proved everyone wrong. But I want to give props to Thurman. I've always liked him and still do. The man just spoke to much crap in the build up. But he acted like a champ after the fight. He hardly made any excuses besides hinting at the long layoff which wasn't as much of an issue as some people want to make. If you remember clearly, he looked good against Lopez before he was stunned in the 7th. I don't think the fight merits a rematch. It was wider than a split decision in my opinion but not a shoutout. It was fun, entertaining, and competitive. I was on the edge of my seat from the moment the fighters made their way to the ring.

But in the aftermath, I hope Pacquiao stays away from Spence or Crawford. I'm not counting him out against either way, but the risk is greater than the reward in my opinion. Pacquiao has nothing left to prove. And fans that are clamouring for a Spence/Crawford clash need to sit down. The man is a legend, but he's 40 years old and has every right to dictate who he wants to fight next. Maybe ya'll should have this much energy demanding a Spence/Crawford clash.

Pacquiao was dominating Thurman the first five rounds and suddenly he eased up. I and a lot of others couldn’t figure out why he eased up. Then Pacquiao in an interview after the fight mentioned that he relaxed a bit because he wanted to time him, and he said that’s why Thurman was able to take advantage.

He didn’t say it straight out but what that means for people who knows boxing was he was trying for the knockout.
