Thurman came into his fight with Manny having averaged one fight per year, for four years. After the Calazzo fight in 2015, he went almost a full year before fighting Porter. Then another nine months before taking on Garcia. Then out for almost two years.

    Inactivity is unkind.

What are you best at? If you did it only "one time" per year for four straight years -- I bet you wouldn't be so great at it.

Not sure if he's going to stay active and take on Spence or Crawford. Up to him.

I don't think he is much past prime. He is only 30 and he fought well. Prime on average is 25 to 29 so maybe he is a year past his prime which is not much.

          Sounds like some Broner BS.

I think all the injuries killed his motivation for fighting. He had a nice little run and got to cash out, kudos to him. He can enjoy retirement now.

His power been died down. And he never been the type of guy to dominate other good fighters. He always looked vulnerable at times. Which separates him from Spence/TC and Legends like Manny

The problem is we are rating Spence using the eye test.
When has he actually proven himself? Brooks only legit win was the Porter fight. Before that he fought tomato cans.
Then GGG ruined him and Spence was having a close fight with him.
Lamont was a way past prime 140 lber and Mikey Garcia a 135 lb fighter.

Porter will be his first real test at welter
