I'm wondering if the training regime or weight loss part, especially the weight loss part is still difficult with his new nutritionist. Or his difficult fight the other night. If he is staying in the division too long, it makes you wonder if he fears the murderers row at 140 and thats keeping him at 135. But he doesnt look gaunt or have an impoverished body like some beanpole would have. Maybe married life sucks. Something might be bothering him. Dont know.

This guy's dad is pumping his kid up a lot more than he should. He's putting a ton of pressure of the kid and it can break him. Just take it easy and let the kid grow into a better fighter by focusing on his craft and not by talking and calling out other fighters. Yes you have to build up a reputation and a record, but it's also time to get tested and face a little bit of adversity and just learn before stepping up.

Yeah I'm thinking Dad had his kid thinking it was going to be easy money. He got a little taste Saturday of what it's like to step up against someone who made him work. IF that was discouraging, he needs to get his mind right or take an easier path.

His pops is the classic example of a man who didn't accomplish what he wanted in life and bitter so is trying to live his life through his son. He talks like he's the one fighting and writing checks his son has to clear. If he really cared about his son he would step back and bring in a world class trainer and take a back seat.

This is a major red flag for me, I am jumping off the the Teofimo Lopez hype train.

Unquestionably talented but I now have major questions about his mentality.
