He didn't have anything to risk in the first fight but now that he has them belts it becomes a risk.
I'm sure he has people tell him he will need a knock out to beat AJ in the UK.
I'm sure that's a huge risk to him now.

Ruiz has to KO AJ (or at least mop the floor with him again) regardless where they fight, in UK or US... if Hearn can buy the ref and the judges in the UK, he can buy them in the US as well... (don't forget that AJ wanted the rematch at MSG...)

I am actually amazed at how AJ fans are soooooo happy to have AJ win the belts more on the People's Court than in the ring where he got the dog shyt beat out of him.

Okay this is what I find funny about AJ fans. Before it was he has all the belts he brings in all the money HE IS THE A-SIDE so everyone needs to just fall in line and let him dictate everything because he is in the position of power.

Now after he LOSES ALL THE BELTS and gets SHYT BEAT DOWN HIS LEG......

A signed contract is a signed contract. Take your gripe up with Team Andy. THEY shouldn't have signed it if they were going to renege.

I don't pretend to know what is in the contract but there have been some excellent points made about the interests of each fighter. Hearns may certainly have the option to sue Ruiz based on a stipulation in the contract, but what happens to the belts? What happens to the rematch? Is it in Joshua's best interest?

Not all contracts are made to be honored by the way. Options for example, where a contract can simply run out of time, or an understanding that new circumstances make the contract voidable (for whatever reason) ... Ruiz may feel that because Joshua needs this fight he has leverage to try to break the contract and demand a new venue. Is this a renegotiation? Well could be. His value is greater now and there could be a greater benefit to trying to void the rematch clause.Just saying this is plausible.

And what about joshua? If Ruiz is sued for damages, who does Joshua fight? Wilder? Fury? They probably won't even give him a chance IF he was ready to do so after this loss.

Some people here think that contracts are not renegotiated. Ruiz has a logical reason to ask for some more things and break this contract. Its nothing personal, not about being stand up lol. Its about trying to take advantage of his present value now and not wait until it is risked in a second fight with a dangerous opponent.

Solid points with good rationale. Some folks seem to be enamored with the idea that Ruiz has no control and no influence in the process of AJ "taking his belts back".

The A side is whoever is generating the money and had control over the initial set up with contract stipulations and terms. Ruiz just cant void a contract he agreed to because he won . Why is it there are so many ****** people on here who by coincidence are Wilder fans ? I understand words like Breach / Clauses /Terms / binding and even words like Infracture was brought up with other legal definitiions on this thread which are to grown up for the Wilderettes but its getting really dumb.
