It just sounds odd to hear about making more in the US. There must be some corporate DAZN money being thrown into a US fight. Having 100k watching in a stadium in the UK versus 10k at MSG sounds like more money.

What do you think the rematch clause would specify? Maybe things like split/fees, timeframe & who chooses location?

Breaching the rematch clause, which specifies Hearn/Joshua decide location obviously breaches the original contract, so they get sued for the original $7m payment, plus loss of future income for Joshua. If Ruiz tries to fight someone else they sue for an injuction to prevent any fights until the breach is rectified. It would be a legal nightmare that would do Ruiz no good as he would be clearly in the wrong.

That’s also true. PBC advisors have a very conservative risk management advisory team. I’m confident that Ruiz would win again. In the unlikely event he does lose, he could set himself up for a lucrative trilogy.

No. It's what ever the contract he signed says.

Articles from “boxing clever” almost always have errors.

According to Eddie Hearn in this article, the rematch clause states that Joshua chooses the venue in the rematch. In due time we'll find out if this is true or not.

If that was part of the contract he signed, then yea he has to honor it.

Doesnt matter if he is the champion now because he wasnt sht when he signed the contract.
