Comments Thread For: Ellerbe: Pacquiao-Thurman Will End In KO; Could Be Hagler-Hearns

Leonard Ellerbe is convinced that the Manny Pacquiao-Keith Thurman fight will end in a knockout. Ellerbe is so sure Pacquiao and Thurman will aggressively attempt to score a knockout, the Mayweather Promotions CEO thinks their welterweight championship match July 20 might mirror one of the most storied slugfests in boxing history.

There is a zero percent chance that this will resemble Hagler v Hearns. Pac doesn't have KO power at 147 and Thurman is a runner.

I feel like it won't end in ko and won't be nearly as dramatic as everyone is hoping. That's kinda how most of their fights have been in recent years.

Keith didn't see anything in Manny. He's just an a s shole trying to pretend as always that he's special. Unfortunately for Keith in the history of boxing he'll go down as average and Manny will and is one of TBE. Fact. Garcia Porter and Thurman in the grand landscape of boxing are average. They would not be top ten during Manny's peak.

It may start that way at least. Thurman may go all out early which he likes to do anyway.

Thank you. Hagler v Hearns was a slop fest more than a slug fest. Hagler was never hurt anywhere near what the commentator screamed. It was unique due to the wildness of two top guys, just kinda deteriorated. For all the mythical matchups Hearns is supposed to win with his range, speed, and power, he sure didn’t win that one. I remember him running backwards mostly. GGG v Canelo was alluded to be the same. It was always going to be fight if the millennium part two though. Im expecting a snore fest so I can be pleasantly surprised by anything more.

              I believe him.

The premise for both fighters is to truly hurt the other in the early rounds.

Nobody has truly traded with Pacman since the Marquez fight. This will be amazing

These guys are not KO artis.

Pacquiao has only had 1 TKO since 2010

And Thurman has only had 1 TKO in the last 5 years!

                  No one is getting KO'd

Who would've thought that Manny would be fighting "for Floyd" and NOT fighting "against Floyd?" How times have changed! Bob Arum must be feeling sick today! LMAO!
