McGirt revealed that early on in fight, Dadashev spit out all attempts to take water.
Seems like fighter gave signs that it should have been stopped sooner.
    I know... hindsight.
    Very sad.

Is refusal to intake water one of the signs of a brain bleed/subdural hematoma?

There should definitely be courses you have to go through about the tell tale signs of brain trauma. 100%!

Its a tricky one because dadashev was throwing punches back and showing that he was still a live fighter. Though his legs got much worse in the 11th round but it was stopped after that anyway. Its an all around very difficult situation.

It's a buildup of blood and fluid due to an internal injury.

What's crazy is that he was fighting back and he got wobbled in the 11th. He wanted to continue, but McGirt stopped. At that time the stoppage didn't appear to be too late or too early. We've seen fighters take what appeared to be much more damage and the fight continued. And if you saw the fight, if you ask yourself how did he lose, you would say he took a lot of body shots. You could see the redness on the side of his body as evidence that he was taken a lot of hits to the body, but he may of been either taken too many to the head that last round or he had a few hits to the head that were in the right spot to cause serious damage. I want to rewatch the fight to see if I still have the same analysis about the fight, but I don't want to because I know what happened afterwards.

Yeah McGirt knows what he's doing. He’s known to stop fights. At the time it brought back flashbacks when he told Gatti in the corner he was stopping the fight against Floyd

Buddy McGirt deserves a lot of credit. I hope he gets better and makes a full recovery and can be back with his family soon.

Like some sort of nanoscale sensor a fighter can have attached to their skull that they wouldn't even notice is there but could detect if there is activity with bleeding in the brain or something.
Whether people want to agree or disagree, it all lies on the greedy promoters. The sport needs to go back to same day weight ins. Too many fighters have unhealthy weight cuts to gain a size advantage in their weight class. Only reason they went for 24 hr weight ins was just in case a fighter missed weight they have time to find another fighter. **** that. Same day weight in and fight at your healthy weight. Cutting weight is not good for your brain! Fans need to chill out when a fighter cant continue

Same day weigh ins make it far riskier because fighters will still cut weight

Only this time, they won’t have an extra 24 hours to rehydrate

What they should really be doing, is have far stricter 30-day, 7-day and same-day weigh ins. Apart from the IBF, which is also pretty lax though a step in the right direction, these additional weigh ins are a joke with the ABC orgs
