I don't think Wilder is dumb.

He doesn't articulate himself very well, but when he's not playing a character he's not, he comes across to me as a normal guy. Not dumb, not smart, just normal.

However I do think he is ****** for letting Haymon and Finkel manipulate him when he didn't accept the 100 million offer. He is too emotional and they know it.

Not sure how many American real boxing fans you were exposed to but every single last American fan of the sport I have known has considered Lennox among the top five best HW's in the last 30 years. Sorry to break it to you but just like I don't believe you folks represent the best in British fight fans I am sure you've run into our version of that. I love his dress sense, not a lot of issue with his speeches because a lot of them are rehearsed (Trying to sound like his pastor father etc), I know he isn’t highly educated so I don’t hold that against him, I think he has done well without any sort of media training, with Fury everything rolls of the tongue, with whyte he is hardcore to the max, with Joshua he has had media training since the Olympic win, so I don’t hold nothing against Wilder in that respect, he fights for a living, and his fist does the talking.... He just need to drop that whispering Shit that he does, that is cringe at best.

If you ever watched interviews with him, without having to put a show for the cameras, which is what people want....he's not a scholar but he's a nice, thoughtful, and pretty intelligent guy. Personalities sell in boxing and marketing is important, being a hero and a heel depending on your stance, isn't a bad way to market yourself.

When Wilder is not trying his best selling an image to the public he seems like a normal person. However when I watch interviews with him. I haven't seen anything that would suggest Wilder is "highly" intelligent that's all.

Dude you guys are all literally speaking for the entire boxing community like you took a time machine and took a poll. I have been a boxing fan since I was taken as a kid in 1985 to see my first live fight. I can tell you that I can count on one hand how many Lennox Lewis detractors I have met in the states. Take it or leave it, that's been my experience.
