These tournaments are a great idea but this one has been kinda spoiled by injuries and now this sort of thing. Inoue has dominated his side of the bracket and Donaire’s had a lucky, easy ride through his. There’s just been too much disruption, especially on Donaire’s side of the bracket. I just hope that doesn’t extend to the final too.Comment

Fairs fair this is a great tournament which needs to be contested on neutral ground. Sauerland have enough European connections so surely they could have sorted this out be now!Comment

Inoue vs Nonito promoters make a unification fight on their own on August/September.
Looser fights in WBSS finals with another champion who had to fight Nonito.
WBSS champion fights/rematches Nonito/Inoue winner again.
Here you have 2 MegaFights and one very good fight. PERIOD.Comment

Other fighters have also wanted to pull out so now we have money issues, not having fighters fight in a normal period of time. The WBSS does not know the importance of striking while the iron is hot. Each fight in a tournament like this should occur 2.5 to 3 months apart unless there is an injury that requires time to heal which is not the case. So Donaire has to wait 7 months??!!! Arent they doing the same to Prograis? That means these guys can only fight twice this year! What the hell are they doing to fighters treating them like this??Comment
