  • Comments Thread For: Donaire: I'll Move On If WBSS Doesn't Schedule Inoue Fight Soon

By Keith Idec - LAS VEGAS Nonito Donaire doesn't fear Naoya Inoue. Donaire is starting to fear, though, that their fight isn't going to happen. Sad when the sport of boxing and its politics do honorable champs like Nonito Donaire dirty.

Wonder what the hells the hold up. I think Donaire would have his moments but Inoue would put a hurting on him. Donaires a warrior and would go out on his sheild. He's got speed and power but I think he's just got way too much wear and tear to endure a full 12 with Inoue

November? Why Wait? Donaire & Inoue took hardly any damage in the previous fights. This should have in September, no later then October. It is a tournament after all

I knew it. These type of tourneys (although good for boxing) are not really financially sustainable.

These fighters are promised by this grand tourney big investment money, and when they don't come, everything falls apart.

I agree 100%. Should have been in September. Latest October. Very unprofessional by the WBSS. Even if calculated for when Inoue fought late May, should be LATE SEPT. Early October. Basically Donaire has to wait 1.5 months longer than expected. He’s ready to go!

I don't think money has anything to do with it. wbss already completed the cruiserweight and super middleweight tournaments last year so it can be done. All the current wbss tournaments are in the final champion stage. cruiserweight final braidies vs doriticos 140lbs final taylor vs prograis and batamweight final donaire vs inoue. I think the issue is finding a venue.

I suspect the problem is that Donaire is the real deal and the japs froze

This wouldn't bother me so much. Nonito is my guy, i don't want to see him get brutally KO'd by Inoue.

Last years finals were September with season 3 starting the next day.

November is BS. People are going to have to resubscribe to DAZN for the finals?
