    A boxingscene article early on.

Sports Illustrated’s Chris Mannix reported Thursday morning that negotiations for their third fight have stalled largely due to Golovkin’s reluctance to face Alvarez in Las Vegas for a third time. The former middleweight champion made it clear in the aftermath of his fourth-round knockout of Steve Rolls on June 8 that he wants their third fight to take place elsewhere.

To me it sounds like Canelo tried to make the fight, but didn't wanna fight GGG outside of Vegas. GGG doesn't wanna fight in Vegas. Hence no agreement cuz neither side will bend. At that point DAZN give Canelo a acceptable opponent list with two names, but it was really a one name list cuz the other situation was already at a stalemate.

I suspect May will be a stalemate again if Canelo wants the fight in Vegas & isn't already making plans to fight elsewhere.

Again thats assuming this is a legit story which you neve can 100% know since its all rumors at this level for us with behind the scenes sh^t.

If he loses he's not getting the Canelo fight. I think GGG wants the Canelo fight for himself & his legacy more than just the money. And I think the fact he's 0-1-1 to Canelo officially is something thats bothering him & why he's been all up in his feelings & doing weird sh^t since those fights have been happening.

No he doesn't. Canelo is the only fight that GGG would make $30million minimum. The guarantee is $100mil, and there's no disclosure for all fights at $16mil a pop. It's rationed out after GGG makes $30mil with Canelo to lower pays than $16mil

Thats the thing I don't think he got jobbed & my scorecard has GGG up 1-0-1 vs Canelo (6-6 in 2017 & 7-5 in 2018). Those fights were both close as f#ck & it didn't go GGG's way. I personally believe both of those fights coulda went any way (Canelo's way, GGG's way or both draws) & it been within the margin of error with the scoring.

I get people being cynical about both decisions going more Canelo's way to how most scored it, but that doesn't change the fact both fights were close enough to have been able to go any direction.

And GGG being in the losing the coin flip position equals him having less ability to decide factors to make the fight with things like location.

Hell man if I'm Canelo I'm saying I'll 100% fight GGG....in Vegas, but I'll never fight him outside of Vegas just to get in GGG's head more & to let him know who's running sh^t. Most fans are gonna think what they think about Canelo or GGG either way & will circle there logic around those original stances they have for either guy so nothing or at best little is changing.

2nd fight yes. i had golovkin winning but could see 7-5 canelo, a draw would of been fair as well. but the first fight close? not at all. it was clear as day golovkin won the fight.

I don't think it was. To me Canelo lost rounds more than GGG won rounds & I think thats why a draw made perfect sense. I do agree that most people had that GGG's way, but probably ~90% or those cards were 7-5 GGG or 8-4 GGG. And there were at least 1 or 2 close rounds you could give to GGG that you coulda given to Canelo so I thought it was within a margin of error where any outcome is fair.

But I'm that mfer who thinks its insane a lot of people think JMM vs Bradley is the widest 7-5 fight in the history of boxing, but thats anothe thread.
