people overthinking the canelo-ggg situation..
canelo has too big of an ego for this fight to be happening next... you all forgot when he left the negotiations table for the cotto fight and instead fought kirkand, or when he moved his trout fight out of floyd's undercard.. floyd and cotto being bigger names... no way canelo was going to allow dazn or ggg to dictate a fight, a date, a place or anything on him... this is simply canelo showing his middle finger like he did in the past... kovalev on december it is...

I preferred Canelo vs Jacobs because they both have more nuances to their style then Golovkin, which made it more interesting to me. Which is also why I preferred Pirog vs Jacobs over Golovkin Jacobs. I also liked Lemieux vs Billy Joe Saunders over Golovkin vs Lemieux.

if they were still under the ppv model, the fight would have a much better chance of being made. this is something people mentioned when he signed that contract...that he could just fight whoever regardless of what the demand from fans was and which fight would make the most $$$.

The wrap on the knee looked even worse in the Jacobs fight...I was concerned about it when I saw it...for his sake I hope he gets that sorted out and has another 5 years at least at a high level.

It's not coming from a place of fear. You're dense if you think that's the reason.
Why would he be scared of a fighter who would only be older and who he defeated in a relatively average manner. I thought it was 8 to 4 myself. Not like it was extreme life or death or had to come up off the canvas.
You dense mother***ing GGG fans think he was Rocky out there getting Ko'd only to come back and win. No, Canelo for the most part won comfortably.
GGG outlanded him in 18/22 rounds they've fought (2 ties) so far..doesn't tell the whole story...but I think it dispels your narrative a bit that anything has been easy for Canelo so far...the numbers (and tape) would appear to say the opposite.
I'm interested to see if Canelo can fight GGG and either hurt him, KD him, KO him, legit beat him, or outland him in close to half of the rounds...so far that hasn't happened yet imo...but Canelo seems to be improving and GGG getting older...so it should make for closer fights I think.

I do think you are being a bit sour/dense if you think that GGG can't do any of those things you mentioned...if he couldn't, why would he be so good?...you seem to think he is one dimensional etc...but if he was so slow, bad etc...why would he have any wins at all lol....surely you would think he does all of those things you mentioned at least as well as any other top fighter.
Seems fairly obvious you just back Canelo and whatever he wants...and are a bit fearful of a GGG matchup right now as it is fairly high risk and low-ish reward I guess...that's cool, but at least man up and be honest about it man
