how? lol clenelo was the one who was forced to cancel his fight date on the biggest mexican holiday of the year which means clenelo won't be getting paid. GGG will fight on that date for the ibf belt that clenelo will be stripped of lol. you idiots are going to be steaming mad! and DAZN is still going to want clenelo to fight GGG he ain't getting out of this!

That's why I said what I said against non-elite opponents. He's still much better than them even tho he's not prime. But against better opposition, the speed and movement that he needs isn't quite there anymore. The guy has been fighting for over 20 years. You gotta factor in all the amateur fights, sparring, running, strength and conditioning exercises, all the thousands upon thousands of punchings thrown etc. Just because he hadn't been in any wars, doesn't mean the body shouldn't start slowing down, which it naturally does around the mid 30s. GGG at 35 was in great shape compared to most, but not compared to the Golovkin of only a couple years earlier. Look at how he looked physically in Canelo 1 compared to say Lemieux or Monroe; he looked different and the weigh-ins and fight night reflected that. Sure, it comes down to the opponent, but I'm saying I noticed physical attributes that were declining back in 2016. In any fantasy match up of any kind, in any sport, I'm not picking a 35+ year old version.

Of course competition exasperates it, but as I said to the other guy, you don't have to be in wars to start breaking down. Think of all the amateur fights, camps, sparring, running, strength and conditioning, all the thousands upon thousands of punches thrown over 20+ years. It's natural for the body to start slowing down mid 30s, across multiple sports and life in general. He's been fighting a past prime GGG so what is it if he has another one? He still hasn't convincingly beat him, despite doing better in the 2nd fight. Canelo, I think is slowly breaking down too, as is evident by his knees.

Nelo did, twice. Its a false narrative that it was close. Nelo CLEARLY beat him twice.

That was posted before Canelo announced he was going to duck Golovkin in September.

With him out of the way it makes this fight more likely.
