I'm gonna be honest with my assessment. I believe the reason they're postponing the date is because Canelo and team want certain fighters but DAZN has openly said they only approved on GGG and Kovalev. Kovalev is tied up now and GGG is free. But guess what? Canelo doesn't want to give GGG the third fight for whatever reason. Canelo/Golden Boy and DAZN are in a stand off. There's some tension going on behind the scenes and as a fan of boxing I sure as heck hope DAZN doesn't cave under pressure. They need to flex their muscles and remind Canelo and team who's paying the contract money.

For Canelo not to fight in September is significant. We all know what the September date in boxing means. It's a big date for all fans in general especially the Mexican community. Canelo doesn't just miss the September date so you know something is up. Smh. I can envision Canelo and team trying to get their way so they're pouting and throwing fits. DAZN needs to stay strong and not budge. Get the trilogy with GGG going already.

Makes you wonder personal feelings aside why would he pass up the chance to beat GGG convincingly and shut everybody up.Boxing was made of rivalries were fighters disliked each other but fought on.All the emotional keyboard warriors who cry and have Canelos salty taste in their mouths are not true boxing fans if they don’t want to see a third fight.Too many disputed decisions in his career now he can set the record straight and knock out a 38 year old former champ.When it comes down to legacy he won’t get a pass on this.I like Canelo But most of his american hardcore fans if the police did a dna swab from their mouth the lab results would come back Mexican male most likely a ginger and a abnormal amount of salsa ****ed protein in their mouth.

Ive been saying the same thing! Why not fight Golo in a trilogy, shut everyones mouth and then move on.

Dazn should just get their money back. They are literally paying Canelo and Golovkin a fortune to fight and they have nothing but talk to show for it.

Skipper screwed up. All that money and Saul fights Fielding (fake belt holder) and Jacobs (lost to Golo already) so far. They are definitely not getting their moneys worth.

I would rather have Canelo fight Triple g in September than not fight at all.
But at the same time I respect Canelo's decision for standing up to DAZN and not letting them dictate everything. If Canelo wanted to fight an Uber driver instead of Triple g then I'd be talking shet on Canelo too but seems like Canelo tried to negotiate with Andrade and DAZN said no so I can't blame Canelo for telling DAZN to fucc off!
Triple g really does need to step up in competition and quit following Canelo like he has been for the past 5 years..

EVERYONE wants Saul to fight Golo a 3rd time. For all the Saul and Golo haters, this would end the talk. As for Golo stepping up comp, he gave Saul 2 fights. Not sure why Saul cant give him the trilogy fight. Especially after other opponents have been turned down by DAZN.

Killers? He fought Fielding and Jacobs. Since when have they been killers? Fielding was a fake belt holder who got ktfo by the real champ (Smith) and Jacobs lost to Golo, then fought Arias, Sulecki and Derev (Derev being the best of those 3).


All in all, its a shame Saul isnt fighting on Deiz y Seis Weekend. His fans deserve it, boxing fans deserve it and quite frankly, as the most POPULAR fighter in boxing, he really doesnt need a huge promotion. His name and brand sells. Now we're going to be stuck with some weak pbc or tr fight....

Kovalev in January...if he beats Yarde. That's the only way I can make sense of this.

If Yarde beats Kovalev I expect there will be a great flow of tears from Oscar and Canelo.

This sounds risky. Like you said Kovalev may lose or get hurt. A bad cut could sideline him for awhile. Anything can happen! DAZN should have approved Andrade for Sept. and if victorious Canelo could have fought again early next year without affecting the May date.

Jacobs is world class but Fielding is a killer? I love boxing but the game always shyte's on itself. I was hoping that DAZN would become a major player and provide the best fights. Really hasn't happened. They are shooting themselves in the foot. Canelo/Andrade in Sept. should be happening. I understand that they want GGG but Canelo against someone is better than an empty date.

Jacobs was consensus the best possible opponent available & beltholder,& Canelos trying to fight "killers" more than any single other fighter,& will surely face a killer in December.
