I'm gonna be honest with my assessment. I believe the reason they're postponing the date is because Canelo and team want certain fighters but DAZN has openly said they only approved on GGG and Kovalev. Kovalev is tied up now and GGG is free. But guess what? Canelo doesn't want to give GGG the third fight for whatever reason. Canelo/Golden Boy and DAZN are in a stand off. There's some tension going on behind the scenes and as a fan of boxing I sure as heck hope DAZN doesn't cave under pressure. They need to flex their muscles and remind Canelo and team who's paying the contract money.

For Canelo not to fight in September is significant. We all know what the September date in boxing means. It's a big date for all fans in general especially the Mexican community. Canelo doesn't just miss the September date so you know something is up. Smh. I can envision Canelo and team trying to get their way so they're pouting and throwing fits. DAZN needs to stay strong and not budge. Get the trilogy with GGG going already.
