Doesn't mean much, when only 2 of the challengers you've defended your title against are actually good.

Thx, man. Good vid. My historical knowledge is shallow but I had a feeling Wlad and Holmes would be in that top 3.

The Holmes situation is interesting so I BoxRec'd it.

Won the WBC title and defended it 16 times. In his 8th WBC title defense, he also won the lineal title. His would-be 17th WBC title defense wasn't sanctioned by the WBC, so it was only a lineal title defense. He then vacated the WBC title and was awarded the inaugural IBF title on the same day which he defended 3 more times.

So in that reign he had:
                  16 WBC title defenses
                  12 lineal title defenses
                  3 IBF title defenses
19 consecutive defenses of any world title: WBC (16) to IBF (3) = 19
                  20 consecutive defenses of any world title or the lineal title: WBC (8), WBC/lineal (8), lineal (1), IBF/lineal (3) = 20
