Need Links to Old Threads but I've never seen hype for Malik Scott...EVER!
Lest we forget: When the fat Yanks lauded a 30-0 Malik Scott as "The Saviour".

Did you just wake up out of a 11 year coma or are you just trying to take focus off that fact US has ALL the hw straps?Seems like yesterday...
Cut back to around early 2008. This fella was supposed to bamboozle and demolish the Klitschko brothers. He was also "too big" for David Haye to stand a chance. Around the time he was 30-0 (10 KO) with stellar wins over Otis Tisdale, Louis "Machine Gun" Monaco and Charles Shufford...
I used to like to dig up old threads and articles, but it appears something has been done to make this no longer possible. Not sure if BS have purposely wiped a chit-load of old pages, or it was an accidental thing. Sure there must be some hilarious threads out there about Malik.
PS honest question no need to block meComment

Man, y'all do a disservice to actual British boxing fans, many whom I have enjoyed a pint with and banter about the sport. Ironically, the reflection OF that fan is not translating well here. True fans of the sport in the U.K. aren't homers like this. They love brave fighters and yes while they support their homebred fighters they don't spend their time bashing fighters from other countries. Maybe it's the trolling climate here that brings this out but it's a damn shame. Some of the best conversations I have had about boxing history has been in the U.K.Comment

As a UK fan, I echo everything you’re saying, I hate all this “get behind your own” nonsense. Pay your money and take your choice, as a fan you are free to support anyone regardless of nationality, race etc.Man, y'all do a disservice to actual British boxing fans, many whom I have enjoyed a pint with and banter about the sport. lol. This thread is a waste of space without the evidence which apparently boxingscene deleted to spare its posters some embarrassment....at the risk of future embarrassment of the one person who "remembers" this
When division, negativity, and xenophobia cloud the mind, this is the result.Comment

Trick is you have to add "eye test" to your searches and use regular search engines and you'll get hits.
By and large the hype around Scott was just random posters - most of which are apparently no longer active on NSB - with random posts hyping Scott. Not really overrating as far as I can tell, just making him out to be more than he ever was.Comment

Umm when did that happen? Lol no serious Boxing fan has ever said anything like that about Malik fkin Scott. He was dime and dozen, average fighter in a weak division.Comment
