Have been on here since 2005 and I don’t ever remember this. I remember a little thing about Seth Mitchell but even that was minimal.

I don't recall Malik Scott EVER being touted as some American hope. I do remember that Seth Mitchell received alot of hype though.

Undefeated American heavyweight prospect Seth Mitchell improved his record to 24(18)-0-1 with a dominating second-round technical knockout of the veteran Timur Ibragimov (30(16)-4(1)-1) on Saturday night in the Convention Center in Washington D...

I don't really recall this. I remember some mentioning him as a possible world title challenger, which was possible as anyone with a good record, padded or not can get a title shot. Scott is like a heavyweight Malignaggi, has some skill and speed, but no power at all. I'd say they are welterweights that hit harder than Malik Scott.

                Another yank bum, lol.

Wilder is the taller Malik Scott with power.

                  Remember Seth Mitchell hype.

                  I don’t mind hype.

Hype is good. Fans that get upset about it annoy me a bit.

If someone’s hyped then the money will follow. For them and the guy who knocks them out.

Even at lower levels it’s good.

I remember Larry Olabamiwo getting hype at one stage at domestic level before McDermott smashed him. I think he’s lost more than he’s won now.

But still he would have got a few quid.

Olabamiwo was a drug cheating bum. No one hyped that bum.

                      He defo was.

Mainly because he was massive and obviously on the juice.

I wonder who the smallest guy who could have knocked him out would be.

                      At every level it happens.

Sam Peter had a lot of hype post Wlad.

Sam Peter was literally never good
