Nope, his resume isnt that deep, his career was short and he shouldn't be undefeated (lost to Kovalev in the first fight) and resorted to cheating in the second.

Good fighter but definitely not ATG.

Nope. Dirty as hell and awful to watch.

History won't be kind to him with his questionable tactics and su****iously only fighting on his home turf. Only 2 times in his pro career did he ever leave the USA and that was very early on against nobodies who were also from the USA.

... ... anyway, he didn't do enough (in the 1st fight) in order to beat the "champ"... for sure... (as about the 2nd... it was a shame...)...

... well, man... this really was a harsh judgement...

LOL No... hes one of the most overrated boxers in recent years whos entire gameplan revolved around clinching. He needed hometown reffs and judges for a reason every time he faced good opposition.

First ballot HOF for sure. I wouldn't say he's an ATG though.

SO certain people view dirty tactics vs them is good and people get worshipped for their tactics and others think its dirty.....some people laud others that box that way, some people laud religious boxers like Pac (has he learned to use condoms in affairs yet?)....we are in america a RACIST, was voted president and he's worshipped....you can figure it out....some people just cant be trusted....lets get this war vs a certain group started and finished. remember when a certain boxer (chino)lifted his foot off the canvas to kick TBE NO ONE (SAID THAT WAS DIRTY)HMMMM... WONDER WHO......SAME PEOPLE WHO HATE MEXICANS AND ARABS ARE THE SAME AS OUR ENEMIES....mexicans, arabs and blacks a certain groups its time for a solution to world problems , a final solution they are gonna pay. Just as your people cant win a fair fight you cant WIN period
THEY ALWAYS HAVE EXCUSES....look throughout history its been proven throughout HISTORY

Not leaving home and relying on the home town scoring and reffing...I mean I just think it really benefited him a lot...and without that he wouldn't really be very heralded.

Miranda was a good fighter but hyping that up as a great win is kind of a stretch...and I didn't see a domination in that fight...and I definitely didn't see one vs Barrera and Bika...I remember those 2 fights very well.

It's not even really the dirtyness...I just never really saw him separate skills wise from anyone B level and above...and all of his good wins except Froch are legitimately controversial.

If Kessler, Bika, Barrera, Kov 1 and 2 were held in a neutral site I think he loses 1 or 2 of those, draws 1 or 2, and is DQd in 1 or 2.

He was a really tough smart fighter though..I don't hate on that...but yeah if Bika was winning all of his fights like Ward was by fighting at home and getting favorable calls I would look at him similarly to Ward...if Ward went to the UK to face Froch and just dominated him..that's the stuff I really wanted to see.
I know Dre personally out of Kings gym here in Oakland. He would be at the amateur fights supporting, even showed up at 3rd st a few times in frisco.

I was a doubter. Ward went after light hw and I said he was too small, no way in hell
He comes back with a medal. Brings back the gold.

After getting shook by a bum at 160, I was convinced first fighter with a punch would expose him. He got
In there with Miranda and destroyed him.

                  Ward never ceases to amaze
Me and y’all act like the other fighters didn’t sign the contracts? Once the contract is signed no excuses. Home cooking or not which every fighter has benefited from, Ward dominated and won those fights.

I really don’t know what fight y’all were watching if you thought Kessler was close? Close to getting made into
A bobble head after so many clean shots.

I realized Ward is a ATG for the sake of the Bay Area. I suggest y’all do the same for the sake of boxing.

Could have been, but bouts of inactivity and a premature retirement remove him from that conversation.

I think so but I understand that some hate his style and will never give the man credit. its interesting that boxing fans act like dirty boxing isn't an art and part of the sport, but most of the greats had it in their arsenal to a degree.
