Whitaker was definitely as Fly as Floyd and RJJ.

I place em all a tier higher than SRL when it comes to being fly

I'd put Mayweather ahead of him, but okay.

He simply was. His back never touched the ropes as he was constantly circling and moving. Moreover, he always kept the action in the center of the ring, which made it very difficult for his opponents to time and catch him flush. He relied heavily on both his legs and upper body movement to evade punches.

It takes serious ability to make defence look attractive and fan-friendly. Watch a Sweet Pea highlight reel, some of that stuff looks like he is in the matrix.

I'd like Pernell Whitaker to be appreciated more for his offense, he was great offensively, had every punch in his arsenal and his ability to box has made many overlook the fact that he was an exceptional inside fighter. Very precise body puncher as well and arguably the best southpaw jab, or at the very least up there with Hagler and Winky in that department.

As for Whitaker being the greatest defensive fighter ever, I've watched Whitaker's entire career set multiple times and while Whitaker is up there, it's Mayweather.

Ain't just the traffic either - you're virtually asking to get a punch in the back of the head and your shit stolen in a lot of places. The fuck anyone would deprive themselves of one of their most important senses is beyond me. I won't even wear that ish now that I live in a relatively safe suburban environment, but I guess old habits ain't so easy to break.
