    WBC HW BS Figured Out

Eddie is saying the Whyte vs Rivas winner gets to fight the Wilder vs Fury II winner.

    Thoughts?

Sounds good to me. My question is, what happens if Wilder vs Fury III happens? Will they get stripped or will the WBC approve that? Because obviously they will approve a unification bout against the winner of Joshua/Ruiz II. So Whyte/Rivas winner may be waiting a while for a title shot.

My guess would be an immediate trilogy fight would result in the tilte holder being stripped.

The Joshua vs Ruiz winner fight would be an interesting bump in the road. I'd assume that could bump Whyte/Rivas winner, but who knows.

blatant disrespect to my boy King Kong. Too bad Wilder isn't going to be champ for a Fury rematch

My thoughts are this. Until Eddie Hearn becomes president of the WBC I will continue to assume that he has no say in who fights the winner of Wilder/Fury 2. He can of course say who will become mandatory but as we know...mandatories don't always end up first in line.

My thoughts are if Wilder-Fury II is a good fight and does well financially, Wilder will become the Franchise champion and fights Fury a third time while Whyte will be fighting for a vacant belt in the UK with an eye towards Joshua, whether Joshua wins or loses against Ruiz.

I guess I will need to see it to believe in the WBC stripping the winner of the rematch heading into the trilogy fight.

But yeah, no chance the WBC strips the winner if they face Joshua or Ruiz after their rematch.

So Whyte ended up successfully choosing his eliminator opponent?

meh, doesn't matter. I've got Rivas with a late KO
