        Damn.. out of any recent boxing deaths this one kinda hits the hardest for me he was one of the fighters I watched growing up

            I’m a tough guy but my eyes got real watery just now when I saw this. Damn!!! One of my favorite fighters of all time. You just never know about life. Treat each day as valuable as possible and don’t take anything or anyone for granted. Great HOF career and I heard a very nice guy that never put off any fans. RIP Sweet Pea, prayers to the family, one of the best “pure boxers” of all time.

                I was a huge fan of his style, a unique combination of savvy showmanship and brilliant. I also appreciated his defense much more than I did fighters who came after him, for being willing to let his hands go.

                RIP Sweet Pea, you are a legend and will be missed.

                                        Man, this is terrible. Sweat Pea was one of best defensive boxers of all time, a tremendous talent for sure. RIP Sweat Pea, you will be missed.

                                        I hope that whoever hit him gets the maximum afforded under the law too.
