What a joke of a comparison. Anyone who argues tennis is tougher has obviously never been in a boxing ring.

Boxing is 36 minutes, tennis can be 5-6 hours +. Top level tennis players have far higher fitness levels than top level boxers.

Incredible match but I don’t think it was better than Federer-Nadal in 08, the best match this decade though between two players who in my opinion will go down as the two best of all time when it’s all said and done.

Federer has never been a great 5 sets player throughout his career and it has more to do with how unathletic he's than mental. Nadal and Djoko on the other hand are supreme athletes and they move very well. Both are also built for 5 sets.
Nadal's serve was very effective against Federer. Nadal hit so many unreturned serves against Federer. He also hit 10 aces in four sets while Djokovic had I think 10 aces in basically six sets. I'd say Nadal was serving better against Federer. Federer 25 aces against Djokovic. He had most first serve points, most second serve points. Djokovic didn't have a serve close to Federer yesterday. The mental ascpet is one thing Djokovic is better than Federer and his mental tougness was the key factor.

tennis is a more difficult sport. if you dont start early you wont get nowhere. with boxing you can start at like 18 and be a world champ. or its easier to become a world champ rather then win a tennis title.

Well at least in Tennis you can't duck anyone or make A-side demands.

                so there is that anyway...

There is no way I will say tennis is harder than someone trying to do you physical harm. I will say calling yourself champion means much more in tennis than it does in boxing because of all these belts we have watering down the word.

That type of mental toughness is unparalleled.

That's what separates world class elite athletes from the very good ones.

                    Can't teach that!
Dude is f-cking insane, only Nadal can compete with him when it comes to mental strength. Also 90% of the crowd rooting hard for Federer throughout the entire match. All the credit in the world to Djokovic.

The two sports cant be compared but you have to be super fit to play elite level tennis.
