So is Thurman basing this off Manny's Dela Hoya win?

Pac was already a legend when he beat Barrera, Morales, and Marquez.

    If we are to compare

Thurman needs to beat Spence and Crawford back to back to be considered LEGENDARY like Manny.

Even he wins against Manny, I don't count it since I also dont count Manny's win against Dela Hoya. Or the other previous young guns beating legends out of their heydays.
I watched Pac live during that era and as exciting an awesome as it was, that just made him "great", not legendary. When he went up to the WW and defied odds, such as beating the bigger guy over and over when so many picked against him, that's what made him Legendary.

Too many said he was too small for Oscar, Cotto, Clottey, Margarito, Mosley. That fighting Hatton at 140lbs where he was a true LW would all be too much. He proved each of those predictions wrong. That's what makes someone extraordinary, when he defies the odds over and over and leaves you dumb founded consistently looking for excuses as to how he accomplished it.

Thurman needs a strong face like the face of Jeff Horny to face the midget Pacman without running. You can not face the problem if the problem is your face amigo.
