He got injured against Linares last year though the original plan was Beltran in late August and then another fight in December. I could see UFC getting that slot though, Khabib is reportedly planning two fights this year so he would likely have to return in December, and other top stars such as Jones, Cormier etc would also likely be available to headline that date.

I think they realize it's over for him and any decent contender could beat him, so they are going to cash him out ASAP
