Lee Selby vs Javier Fortuna for WBC title eliminator

And also Haney vs Abdullaev for WBC title eliminator. Not sure what the WBC has planned here exactly......

I guess it's just for another mandatory position. I thought they were going to do their original tournament idea but substituting Selby for Lopez.

So the winner of this fight gets the winner of Lomachenko/Campbell vs Haney/Abdullaev?

Haney is in a final eliminator and will be mandatory to Loma/Campbell. This is just an eliminator, lol, should be the next up after Haney as mandatory. Unless the WBC pull some franchise **** with Loma

So what I said was right then?

Winner of this fight isn't getting a title shot anytime soon. Haney even if he wins isn't getting a title shot next since the winner of Lomachenko/Campbell will unify all the titles against the winner of Commey/Lopez.

Well, Lopez has to win next week but same difference.

It seems like Loma vs Lopez/Commey winner wouldn't happen until next year. I wonder what Lomachenko does after the Campbell fight.

He's not going to do anything. Commey vs Lopez probably in November and then the winner vs Lomachenko in March or April of 2020.

Lomachenko isn't fighting again in 2019 after fighting in late August.

Providing he beats Campbell and avoids and injuries/cuts. I expect him to fight in December, Arum usually has Loma headline an NYC card during December. Options in terms of an opponent would be limited though.

You think they shelve him for 7 or 8 months?

Still think they might slip Verdejo in there as a voluntary defense in the winter
