Comments Thread For: Benavidez: I'm Gonna Take Back What's Mine From Anthony Dirrell

Anthony Dirrell has lost only once since he turned pro 14 years ago, when David Benavidez was just 8. Benavidez believes he is the man to deal Dirrell his second and most decisive defeat. The 22-year-old Benavidez expects to challenge Dirrell sometime in the fall, perhaps as soon as September, for the WBC super middleweight title that was taken from Benavidez last year.

It was not a post-fight test:

            September 18, 2018:

Super middleweight world titleholder David Benavidez has tested positive for the banned substance benzoylecgonine, the key ingredient in *******.

Benavidez's sample was positive for the substance in a random test conducted by the Voluntary Anti-Doping Association as part of the WBC Clean Boxing Program. The sanctioning organization requires its titleholders and top contenders to be tested randomly, and the program is overseen by VADA.

Benavidez is gonna steamroll Dirrell. Dirrell is a good fighter but his performances against top competition have been very underwhelming for the most part with type of skills he has. He avoided Benavidez the first time he had the belt with an "injury" & didn't enforce his mandatory status when he came back until after Benavidez got stripped. He knows what he sees & ain't got nowhere to hide this time.
