GGG-murata

Would be a great 'event' fight especially in Japan...but I think GGG runs through Murata pretty quickly...GGG just too strong/big imo. Would be fun though. -
? Lol...I know you like Andrade my friend...and the Murata fight would be more of an event fight than anything...but his win here over Brant is as impressive of a win at MW as we have seen in a while...he just completely ran through Brant who dominated him the first fight.
He lost a lot of shine with that loss to Brant but gained a lot of it back tonight...he is definitely a name again at MW...and a lot of guys would jump at the chance to fight him in Tokyo...probably biggest money opponent at MW besides Canelo.Comment

Could be a deal worked out to broadcast ESPN+ in the US and DAZN Japan in the Islands maybe (unless Murata's already locked into to a Japanese provider)... Ryota's a big name so potentially that's a lot of revenue in Japanese subs? DAZN is working on their US subs, sure, but they're a global organisation so I doubt they'd be too fussed whether its ¥ or $s they're getting paid in... fact there's every chance they'd get the better end of the deal here.Last edited by Citizen Koba; 07-12-2019, 08:34 AM.Comment

But I wasn't really saying it was a big money fight for GGG - he probably gets the same purse more or less - but it is a fight that could appeal to DAZN.
If they want to get a foothold in Japan, this could help to get subs...and that could justify paying GGG 16.5 million...tbh I think DAZN is counting on 2 more GGG-Canelo fights because otherwise GGG doesn't bring in enough money to justify 16.5 million per fight imo.
I was saying also that Murata isn't a cherry-pick though in the sense that 1) he is pretty good and 2) anyone at MW would like to fight him in Japan...it's a winnable fight and besides Canelo, it is the biggest money fight for everyone - ie - Charlo, Andrade, Jacobs etc would all take that fight in Japan, or elsewhere probably...it would pay them better than anything other than Canelo, probably even better for them than GGG.Comment
