Ruiz is talking nonsense. He signed a rematch clause with a 4 belt champion at short notice. He had no belts. It's laugable to think he would call the shots.

Joshua fought at Ruiz's home the first time so it would make sense for the fight to be in the UK. But commercially it makes a lot of sense for it to be in the US. Respect to Joshua if he goes there again

I agree Ruiz gets to use any leverage he can and attack AJs team as he sees fit. That is boxing. I have never seen someone post their contract online. I wish there was a site where everything that is legally available to see can be posted. Seat sales, buys etc. We can’t even see a fighter get measured for height and reach yet we are expected to bet on it? Ruiz should post his contract if he even can legally, might get sum help.

Right, and AJ got destroyed. He has no titles now. But there’s a rematch clause that was negotiated while AJ was still the champ. So Ruiz is going to be paid way less than what he’s actually going to generate, especially with all those pesos. AJ will get to pick the venue. Prolly ring size. Ruiz has no stroke even with the belts, so it’s the money that talks. So there’s no real respect to the champ. He’s gonna have to win twice to get any clout and then he’s gonna have to treat his opponents the same unless they bring in more money than he does. So yes Ruiz can fight for any inch he can find in that contract. He can call out AJ to try and goad him into something. AJ calls the shots each time. Cause it’s about money not respect.

Yep. Nothing over two fights will be on his terms. U have to win twice to get any stroke. Kinda cheapens the belts and the victory. In the end he gets treated like an underdog on paper in the rematch. But I guess if there were no rematch clauses champs and promoters would avoid a lot more fights.
