Comments Thread For: Trainer Urges Chisora To Make Statement, Tear Up Szpilka

Dave Coldwell, head trainer for heavyweight contender Derek Chisora, wants his fighter to make a real statement in the upcoming contest with Artur Szpilka of Poland. Chisora, who looked very flat in his last ring outing, is staking the future of his career in the contest and can't afford any slip-ups in the bout.

depends which Chisora turns up. The problem as he's getting older is that the gap between his best performance and worst performance is growing narrower. His worst is not so bad which shows more professionalism, but his best is not as good either, so signs of decline.

If Chisora comes to win - he wins. He was a beast against Whyte

If Szpilka comes for a fight, it will be great action with Chisora winning by KO. Hopefully Szpilka doesn't come to spoil like Gashi did

Both of these guys lose every time they fight a decent heavyweight.

Szpilka to Bryant Jennings, Deontay Wilder, and Adam Kownacki.
Chisora to Tyson Fury twice, Robert Helenius, Vitali Klitschko, David Haye, Kubrat Pulev, Dillian Whyte twice, and Agit Kabayel

Szpilka's only good win is against an under-sized Adamek. Marius Wach, maybe.
Chisora has beaten Danny Williams, Malik Scot, and Carlos Takam.
