Canelo’s team has stated multiple times they didn’t want GGG next and laid out a bunch of alternative options.

Could you imagine Showtime telling Mayweather that he had to fight Pacquiao or GGG back in 2015?

i don't think showtime told floyd that he HAD TO fight pacquiao but i think they stronly suggested they'd like to see floyd take that fight before signing him.

i mean other than pac and canelo, the other 4 fights did less than 1m ppv. which are poor numbers for floyd.
