and thats the extent of Hatton oppenent, you know PBF also beat JLC (twice) Corrales, J. Chavez, Angel Manfredy, and genaro Hernandez. and i'm willing to bet that hatton, couldn't beat gatti,JLC, or zab

Thank you for explaining my point to old Charlie. And Charlie the LEGITIMATE title holder comparison was Spinks to Urkal. Lets keep the comparisons apples to apples. I can acknowledge that Koz is a better opponent than anyone Floyd fought in the last 3 years but that is it. Now lets look at their whole careers or compare Hatton's career to Floyd's at the same age. Floyd hands down has a better resume (explained above). And talk about earning the right to fight a tune up... I might not like Spinks as an opponent but at least he is a champion and former champion. What is Urkal?

Post stated last few years. And all those guys he is fought are still at 130-135...his overall resume might look better than Hatton. Hatton hasnt been fighting in the States. Hatton's win over Kosta is well above Mayweather's W's.

Let's put all this **** in context. Would Hatton have beaten Tsyzu if he wasn't in his hometown with a hometown referee letting him do his best John Ruiz impression for 12 rounds? I doubt it. Even with all the hugging and grabbing, the fight was still pretty damn close after 11 rounds.

Maussa was a ****ing joke. Miguel Cotto had already tore his ass up. He got lucky Vivian Harris came in looking for an impressive KO and got caught. This would be like saying if Mayweather beat Baldomir it would be a great win because Baldomir beat Judah. Right...

And would you even be mentioning Collazo's name if Hatton blew him out? Just about nobody knew who he was until he gave Hatton all he could handle and almost had him out in the 12th round...

Floyd Mayweather, when he fights soft comp, completely destroys them. Maussa wouldn't even get a round off of him. You want to take a look at just 3 fights back? How about we go 5, 6, 7 fights back? You go back that far and Ricky is just feasting on Sharmba Mitchell leftovers.

I would argue Cotto has a better resume. He has been fighting better fighters over a longer period of time. The only thing he's missing is an elite fighter on his resume. That's the only thing Hatton has over him...

How bout this then . All three of Hattons last opponents were coming off wins. Two of Mayweather last three opponents are were coming off loses. The one that wasn't was Gatti who a has freakin lost to Micky Wardon his resume. Judah loss came to a guy that was a 16 to 1 underdog. Mayweathers other opponent was Sharmbay who was coming off a KO loss to Kosta. who btw Hatton stopped. dummy.

dude i would watch mayweather-spinks over hatton-urkal any day of the week.

team hatton did everything ass backwards, first they put him in the ring with collazo, he wins but looks like ****. some fans give hatton credit for taking on a bigger southpaw. some fans scream that hatton isn't built for 147, he's going back to 140.

so what does team hatton do?....they give him urkal at 147. So basically he's taking on a ****tier fighter AND not moving down. some fans say urkal will give him a better feel for 147...

this guy needs tune-up fights for everything, for floyd, for 147, I think by the time Hatton's 'ready' for mayweather, floyd will have retired.

Mayweather is fighting guys who he knows he can beat. Hatton on the other hand has not been. As a boxing fan you should want Mayweather to fight someone in thier prime who hasnt lossed a couple of their last fights. Hatton is fighting guys that can potentialy beat him. Like a fighter should do.

Urkal is garbage, I seriously doubt Hatton's management picked Urkal because Oktay can potentially beat Hatton.

As for the Collazo fight, I saw odds as high as like +450 for Luis, he was a serious underdog for that fight. He was SUPPOSED to lose. If anything, team Hatton picked Collazo as an easy fight for Ricky's introduction to America. Instead the southpaw made him look like **** and it ended in a close and controversial win for Ricky.

You can bust Floyd's balls for not fighting Margarito but you'll cheer Hatton for fighting Urkal? If Floyd fights Spinks in Nov, he'll be challenging for yet another belt in his 5th weight division. Meanwhile, Ricky defends a belt he BARELY won against a guy whose record comes from fighting mainly in Germany (and we ALL know why boxers don't like Germay, see the ridiculous long count in Brewster-Krasniqi).

Personally, I wish Floyd would just fight Margarito and get it over with so all the insane hating can go away.
