Hatton's opponents are more credible that Mayweather's

in the past couple years Hatton's opponents have been more credible than Mayweather's. He beat Kosta(ko), the king at 140, Massau(sp)(ko) who just knocked out Vivian Harris(title holder at the time)..then took on a big south paw at his first fight at welterweight, who held a title...Mayweather fought Gatti(wow) Sharmba Mitchell..who was just blasted out by Kosta, in his first fight at welterweight fight(btw it was Mitchell first fight at welter too) then Judah who was beat by Baldi......now he is looking at Spinks?? he just beat the guy that knocked Spinks out

Instead of comparing who fought who, why dont you explain why Hatton doesnt fight Mayweather?

That is not the topic, granted Hattton may not want to fight Mayweather yet but I agree that Hatton has had more formidable opposition in the past couple of years. **** beating Kostya the way he did is enough. I was rooting for Kostya in that fight, so it's not like I am being biased either.

Or try looking at their careers outside of the last 3 years. Floyd has beaten something like 9 world title holders. Recently, yes Koz and Collazo were good opponents but Maussa is a joke. He beat Vivian Harris and that says more about him and his mindstate before that fight than anything else. Zab may have been coming off of a loss but if you watched the fight you know that Zab on that night would have beaten most fighters at 147. Basically if we compare them at equivalent stages of their careers... Floyd has a better resume hands down. Hatton was incredibly protected for his early career while Floyd was beating all the best fighters at 130/135. You can say that Floyd has managed his career over-conservatively the last 3 years but he earned that right. Meanwhile Hatton is fighting Urkal so what is your point?

Because I refuse to care about comparing who has fought who when it comes to Hatton/Mayweather. Hatton and Mayweahter should be fighting, any topic regarding who fought X opponent or Y opponent between the two means nothing because they should be fighting each other, period.

and regardless if he had won any of those fights he atleast stepped in the ring with them.

So why wont he step in the ring with Mayweather? Hatton has a great resume, he brings his UK following, he brings a rough style, i just wish him and his team would stop ****in around and match them two already.

Mayweather should be fighting Marg. for 8 millions. Not calling out past their prime promoters.

** Actually, Hatton wants to fight Floyd now. Cotto is also coming around to fighting Floyd. HBO has 3 undefeated welts it needs to put against each other. Has to be done carefully to maximize the money, but right now Floyd is the most difficult fighter to negotiate with and has stagnated as a fighter, so it may end up just Cotto Hatton with Floyd moving on to Spinks or Karmazin.
