Victor Ortiz and Berto were probably the only legit WW's that Floyd fought. Pac, Marquez, Guerrero, Hatton, Judah and Maidana all were fighters who had better records at lighter weights.

Im seriously wondering if any of these current welterweights could compete at their natural walk around weight like Mayweather, Pacquiao and Marquez all did at welter?

So far the only fighter who is doing this is Canelo Alvarez, he walks around at 183 pounds at 5 foot 6, yet is willing to move up to fight kovalev at 175.

Can Danny Garcia compete at 168 pounds he walks around at 170s

Can errol spence compete at 168 pounds he walks around at 175

Can terence crawford compete at 168 pounds he walks around at 170s

Can Mikey Garcia compete at 168 pounds he walks around at 170s as well.

Can Keith Thurman compete at 168 he walks around as high as the 180s.

Can Shawn Porter compete at 168 he walks around at 180
Their needs to be a re-hydration clause in all contracts, both for fighter safety AND to keep the playing field level.

Walk around weight is meaningless because some guys walk around fat and guys like Pacquiao and Mayweather walk around very lean. Mayweather walks around in the low 150s not 148. Pacquiao and Marquez are not really welterweights but more like big lightweights. Mayweather is a full sized welterweight who walks around very lean. Mayweather could not fight below welterweight like Marquez and Pacquiao can. When he promised to come in at 144 for Marquez he came in at 146. The old same day weigh in rules was a better system but under today's rules you have about 32 hours to gain weight after you weigh in. If these welterweights make weight they are good to go. If Porter and Thurman are walking around at 180 they are walking around very fat. They are not much if any bigger than Mayweather when they lose the extra fat. Mayweather just stays very lean year round which is a good idea. Of course these welterweights who walk around fat would not do well fighting at their walking around weight. What difference does that make? They don't enter the ring as the fat guy they walk around at. They get rid of the extra fat and make 147 and probably weigh 160 or or more in the ring. Could they fight as welterweights in the same day weigh in days? No they could not except for Mayweather and Pacquiao.

Just go back to weighing in the morning of the fight. The new rules did not fix a problem. They created a problem.

Thats common for WWs why be shocked, do you realize when Manny was 129 he was 144 fight night, now look at the same ratio and it applies across the board right up to LH.

Floyd Manny and JMM were JWW weights fighting at WW, around 150-154 is JWWs and WW 160-165 .

Sorry but Floyd refused to be weighed on day of some of his biggest fights. He was easily 10+ lbs more than PAC and Marquez.

Total BS , Floyd weighed 150 against Canelo, and Manny weighed 150 against Marquez, now Floyd grows 10lbs over night, youre an idiot.
