Thanks. I was torn on a few of them. Fastest hands could have also been Hector Camacho or Pacquiao. GGG, Canelo, Tua, Hagler, Holyfield could all have gotten the nod for best chin. Best puncher could also have been Hearns, Norris, Tyson, Pacquiao, Duran, Chavez.Comment

Ring Magazine used to do something similar called the best I’ve faced. So that got me thinking if we answered the same questions based on our experiences as fans what answers would we come up with. I’m basing mine off fighters I have watched live and in person but you don’t have to have seen them live, you can include fighters you’ve watched past and present.
Best Jab: Larry Holmes, Lennox Lewis and Winky Wright
Best Defense: Pernell Whitaker
Best Chin: David Tua, Ike Ibeabuchi
Fastest Hands: Sugar Ray Leonard, De La Hoya and Pacquiao
Fastest Feet: Sugar Ray Leonard, Hector Camacho and Lomachenko
Ring IQ/Smartest: Floyd Mayweather
Strongest: George Foreman
Best Puncher: Mike Tyson and Deontay Wilder
Best Skills: Roy Jones Jr., Floyd Mayweather, Vasyl Lomachenko
Best Overall: Sugar Ray Leonard, Floyd Mayweather
^^^^^These are the best that I've seen fight live in those categories.Last edited by True That; 07-08-2019, 08:09 AM.Comment

I predicted big things for Tua too. Tyson v Tua who u got?
As far as Floyd goes did u predict he would win all his fights? Even against the fastest fighter uve ever seen? Did u make a killing betting on Floyd to always win? I’m not trying to bust ur b*lls, uve got plenty rep. I’m just always curious if guys think Floyd’s overrated as a fighter and better opposition would prove that? I just want to know when someone says he was the biggest cherrypicker how good their predictions were on his fights? Cause in all honesty the guy who got it right is the guy I’m interested in telling us who would have beat him? This is an honest question and I’m meaning no offence. My brother used to say Kahn beats him.Comment

I never got round to watching RJJ in the flesh bro, I’m British so was always too young to travel over to America to watch him in his prime. I was tempted to go to New York to watch him face Calzaghe, but I knew he was so far past his prime at that point so decided against it.true...but always on his terms and often times not a best/prime version of them...still...he was great in his younger days and didn't slip much as he moved up in weight...and his ability to win and tweak his style in moving up was impressive.
Btw - trying to pick one guy for each category proved tough for me...harder than I thought on some of that.
Why didn't you have RJJ on there somewhere? seems you are a big fan of his...and rightfully so I would say
If I was doing an all time list, I’d have picked Roy for fastest hands and feet for sure.Comment
