Why do Americans act like boxing is an American sport?

I am an American but I know my boxing history and the sport started in England. The English and Irish brought boxing to America and America became very good at boxing. I just root for boxers I like based on how they fight and what they are like as a person. I don't care where they live and don't favor American boxers over others. I like lots of English boxers. My favorite is Callum Smith. I think he is the best at 168 unless Bivol could beat him since Bivol says he can go to 168. If an American fights and Englishman I just root for the boxer I like the most and it might be the Englishman.Comment

The Russian has a British passport and DAZN is a British registered company. Go play hockey and I hope Canada isn’t freezing in July because I heard the ice age never left that country, lol.Comment

Ok, I'm laughing hard at the thought of a bunch of drunk, shirtless blokes singing Francis Scott Key like it's Sweet Caroline.
But rugby...
Dunn had just finished putting the monstrous former rugby leaguer and another international player through a basic agility drill. Normally the exercise would have taken two minutes, but because of the students' lack of football experience, it dragged on for a half-hour under the Florida sun.
After about a minute of standing there looking at one another, they both tried to drink the Gatorade through their helmet, and literally splashed it all over themselves,"
The physical shock was awesome. The first four weeks he was dying, just dying every day. And it was like, 'Nope, nope, that was the warm-up
You could tell that he's never been in an intensive environment where your full-time job is to work out.
Jordan Mailata went from knowing "peanuts" about football to an Eagles draft pick after an intense transformation at IMG Academy.
He got hurt doe

Is anything American original? Basketball is netball. American football is rugby. Baseball is cricket. American national anthem is a London pub song. American flag is the Union Jack with stars strangled on it. Your language is also borrowed. At least pay homage to your dad from time to time, mate. Loooool.
If Maro Itoje and Ollie Lawrence were to play in the NFL, they’d be the best and most athletic players even without steroids, lol.Comment

You are a very rude insulting guy who started this thread to pick a fight with Americans. Other than insulting and pissing off Americans I don't know what you started this thread for or what you hope to accomplish. I am just a boxing fan and don't care about soccer, football or rugby. I thought this was a boxing board for boxing fans.Comment

It’s pathetic. Just because the capitalism in America made it more lucrative in America, that doesn’t mean it’s an American sport. It’s a British sport and it was about to stay at home the last few years if for because a British company, DAZN, decided to set up shop in America (due to population) and pour money back in the sport.
The most passionate boxing fans are Brits. And Cuba produces the most technical boxers. Respect those who gave you a chance to become part of the sport. And stop acting like you know it all and everyone has to come to your country to become legit.Comment

Looool. At least you find it amusing that the song drunkards used to sing at London pubs is now your national anthem, lol.

And yes, I find lots of things drunk Brits sing about to be funnyComment
