Why do Americans act like boxing is an American sport?

American sports fans generally arent well travelled.

To them, Nebraska is the best place to live in the world because its first world. Sidewalks are well done, streets paved, clean...very first world so it must be more awesomer to live there instead of anywhere else in the world.

Of course America is the greatest country in the world. All the migrants coming from our southern border demonstrate that. They come in caravans, travelling through other countries, risking death and detention, to come to America

Admittedly, a lot of things about America is admirable, especially how the country has been able to use soft power to push its black pop culture and its innovation in tech (this is arguably because it tend to take talents from everywhere and put its name on it e.g internet and how the real father of the internet is a Brit. But that is a topic for another day). However, they overdo it by acting like the lone wolf and getting too uppity about everything.

Also, is America the richest country in the world or just a country that's top-heavy when it comes to riches with a lot of relative extreme poverty? Have you been to America? I'd wager that a country is as rich as how rich its common citizens are. I've been to Qatar, Switzerland and Luxembourg and those are rich countries. America is just top-heavy.

It's amusing at times because I've seen posters on this very site who I know for a fact have been living in poverty and claiming food stamps throwing "America da richest" at me when I'm sitting in my upper middle class family home with a 2017 range Rover in the driveway

America is so big and it is so much going on in it that we really don't give a sh!it what is going on elsewhere. Others however are obsessed with American Culture and the WORLD watches and is curious as to what is going on in America

Foreign Fighters dreams are to make it big IN AMERICA that is Why guys like Canelo, Pacquiao, Loma, GGG...all fight in America and not in the UK

You'd be a celebrity in the US with your 2017 Range. And if you're black, you would get stopped by the police every other day, lol. Luxury European cars = wealth/riches in the US, lol. If you drive the regular C-class Merc almost every young guy drives in London, in the US, you would get all the women.

Just go to the inner cities in the US and see the type of appalling and 3rd world-esque poverty that's prevalent there and you'll understand why a lot of Americans are always angry.

I am an American but I know my boxing history and the sport started in England. The English and Irish brought boxing to America and America became very good at boxing. I just root for boxers I like based on how they fight and what they are like as a person. I don't care where they live and don't favor American boxers over others. I like lots of English boxers. My favorite is Callum Smith. I think he is the best at 168 unless Bivol could beat him since Bivol says he can go to 168. If an American fights and Englishman I just root for the boxer I like the most and it might be the Englishman.

I love froch(but love his wife more) I love Andre Ward, Kevin Kelly, the dark destroyer, but when brits talk chit, it sounds more elegant..your empire was dissolved buy America, your country is a vassal state, like Canada, Mexico,, Japan, Taiwan, etc... your leaders ask/look to our leaders for direction..lock step with America..
