What does it take to become Thurman-level star?

    There's May/Pac level.
    There's Canelo/Cotto level.
And here fans are only asking for Thurman-level,
    while waiting for big fights.

Thurman finally stepped up when he fought Porter and Garcia.
We finally saw the actual Thurman. Both fights were close.
Clearly, these are the kinds of fights fans want to see.
Why is this so much to ask?

Run marathons, do sprints, jog 8 hours a day, and be the fastest on the track

I probably can consider Jacobs as Thurman-level
even though he didn't always win his fights.
Bottom line is he's been in competitive fights.

Can you name other Thurman-level fighters?
      Mikey may be another...

      Can you name some more?

Thurman is much bigger than jacobs. Thurman along with danny garcia were building a hell of a following before pbc stymied all that. But none the less thurman fights get a lot of views. They haven’t been promoting this pacquiao fight though, which is typical hymen crap. If the fighters arent doing it themselves basically you don’t hear or see anything about the fights.

Jacobs is not Thurman-level. Thurman can still outgross Jacobs in the box office fighting cab drivers. Mikey can't also be in that level unless he fights something huge.

Most of them are not even trying to be in that level.

Simply put, there's not a lot of them. They're all afraid to step up. Which makes it frustrating to follow the sport religiously.

We can agree to disagree doe.
Good thing about Thurman is that he didn't have to fight a huge star to get elevated in that level.
Jermall Charlo only have to fight one or two of the top five in his division.
            But he won't.
Same thing with Crawford and Spence if they fight each other.

You talking ticket sales or boxing talent?

RJJ didnt sell near what DLH did in the 90s for example. Two different things.

Thurman is already a name and a draw, his viewership numbers speak for themselves. If he beats Pacman he becomes mainstream and an A side over anybody he fights in the future in and around his weightclass and puts one foot in the HOF

An undefeated record. Flute skills. The hair of a 1970's era pimp. And an 11 on a 1 to 10 scale of c#ckiness.
