If Kovalev weighs in at 175 he may be 195 by fight time. If I was Canelo I would at least insist on a rehydration clause! We will see what happens. Doesn't sound like they will be fighting. Looks like Andrade next!
That's all well and good. My point is let's not rip into Canelo for asking for a catchweight when he hasn't officially asked for one yet.

Things should be allowed to play out first before people jump the gun.

Yeah, where can we sign to get in line for the Canelo's from Rags to Riches sweepstakes?

Whoever on here thinks that he shouldn't ask for weight restrictions is a fool. There is no jumping the gun. The original talk was for lighter than 175 and a rehydration clause. Doesn't make anyone scared. Canelo is the money in this fight. Do you really believe that he will allow Kovalev to dictate terms? Why should he? Contract terms have always been dictated by the bigger draw!

Leonard then insisted on 12 ounce gloves, an extra large ring, and a 12 round distance.

Rocky F'king Fielding had a rehydration clause. And that's why I have no interest in Canelo/Kovalev.

So Kathy Duva (Kovalev's Promoter) mentioned it and I myself was told the same thing from another boxing promoter yet I have no clue WTF i'm talking about. Are they both wrong? I would bet their info is just a tad more accurate than some clowns on a boxing forum.

So let's get this straight. Canelo has insisted on these clauses on 160 and 168 pound fighters yet he wouldn't ask for one for a 175 pound fight. Boxing promoters including Kovalev's have mentioned it yet the posters on boxingscene.com are in denial? Wow,lol!

I didn’t say that I didn’t expect a hydration clause. I said I had no interest in the fight if there was one.
