... did Kovalev ever called out Canelo at 175?... Did he ask for the "Canelo money"?...

It’s because u can offer a fighter more than he’s ever made but it will still end up being the smallest percentage he ever took. U can see it your way but fighters don’t, that’s why fights are so hard to make. Jacobs was lured with a front loaded DAZN deal. There’s no way Kovalev is offered 6.5mil and has a chance to ad anything substantial due to sales.
So you think Kovalev isn't getting any upside? That makes no sense.

Human nature is to posture. Duva is posturing because she thinks canelo is on a time crunch to find an opponent. But canelo is going to get his money whether he fights Kovalev or Kovalevs cab driver.

I foresee duva singing a different song once negotiations begin with another fighter.

If you gotta drain a fighter to beat him, what’s the purpose to fight him?
Why? Because ******* boy promotions can't win a fair fight. Look at GGG, they avoided him at all costs until he aged then got a gd gift decision. 175 is a pipe dream. He'll fight the 175 pound champion at 170. Or the 168 pound champion. With a rehydration clause. Coward.

We know that a promoter usually tries to offer a flat rate to the opponent first. We’ve seen this many times. They can say Kovalev only ever earned so much before so its a great deal etc. That’s how u get one over on a guy if the fight does big numbers. Most name guys demand a back end, so they don’t look bad if it does well, or leave any money on the table. So ur right not taking a back end doesn’t make sense, but doesn’t mean he was offered anything significant in that way especially if they are negotiating with other fighters and are offering a high guarantee. Kovalev can ask what they predict the ppv buys to be? If they tell him the honest truth who knows? But at the same time Canelo has to sell and promote the fight hence making it hard to play down the expected buy rate to Kovalev. If a lot of people on here are saying $6mil or whatever is a good deal for Kovalev or even overpaid, then what type of money on the back end is expected on top of that?! I’ve never really seen an example of the details of those type of deals, and not having to disclose them is part of it. So no back end makes no sense to Kovalev but all the sense to GBP. I’m not sure how upside even works with DAZN. So I’ll ask you this if there is an upside based on sales/subscriptions what do u honestly think they would end up paying Kovalev if the fight happens?

I don't know anything any the workings of the upside at dazn, but if jacobs got 2.5 guarantee and 12.5 Total at the end why would kosher expect the same.

Duva is posturing and risking Kovalevs biggest lifetime purse in the process.
